I discovered passion for arts when I entered 10th grade and met a new art teacher. Since then I have never looked back. Although, I persuaded my career successfully in communication/graphic arts, I rarely painted for years. After finishing master’s degree in communication arts/ graphic design from City College of New York and the School of Visual Arts I continued to work in New York City as a creative designer. For over 25 years I was owner/president of creative design firm, AQ Graphics, Incorporated in New York, U.S.A. Now retired, have started to paint - again. I have keen interest in photography too and have been clicking during my various trips throughout this wonderful world.

For me esthetics is a major consideration in designing each piece. The focus is to create paintings that have visual beauty, harmony in colors plus interesting composition. I am especially interested in creating variety of textures by using all kind of instruments. My work is mostly stylized, modern and or subjective.

Recently I have started to study my new passion which is to create art aligned with Vastu Shastra/Feng Shui: an ancient science with tradition dating back 5000 years (India) and Feng Shui 3000 years (China), Feng means wind and Shui means water. The ancient philosophers knew a lot about the five elements that made the universe. These five elements are: Earth, Water, Fire, Air (wind), and Space. There is an invisible relation between these five elements. Understanding these five natural sources and coordinating with them in harmony can certainly attract positive energy and assure better health.

I am convinced that anything we see around us affects our thinking and how we feel. As it is said that beauty is in the eyes of beholder, similarly any art that evoke a positive response in the viewer and is pleasant to see repeatedly affects viewer's mood, uplifts inner energy, and thus helps reduce stress in every day life.

As for my work - I am never satisfied but I find the one interesting enough when I like to look at it again and again and again. The field of fine art, to me, is like a deep vast ocean always scary yet fascinating. Nature never ceases to amaze me. I watch sunset almost every day but yet have not seen two of them exactly alike, every time it is so different than the one before! I feel like watching it again and again and again.
At present I live in the Caribbean.
